The basilica is located off the Rue du Port and is one of the most impressive of the roman style churches in the Auvergne region. Take a look at the fantastic mosaic details on the semi-circular chapels then admire the inside which is nice and light and airy.

The cathedral is made out of the volcanic stone that is typical to the region. The interior is beautiful and you can even pay a small donation to climb the stairs (quite narrow and steep towards the top) to view the city from the roof..
